The teachers were all kind-hearted and taught us general knowledge, English sayings, new vocabulary, and interesting facts about their country. We could spend the evenings either exploring the town, enjoying the pubs, the beach, or spending time with our host families. Moreover, we could participate in organized evening activities such as quiz nights or drumming and dancing classes.

A trip to London was also included in the exchange, and we went by bus – or as you say in England – by coach. The stay in the hostel was pleasant, and the activities were fascinating. The London ghost tour, for example, was loaded with scary facts and creepy stories, and we may have been too scared to sleep that night. When in London, we also had to see the major landmarks like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, or Tower Bridge, of course. Thanks to the brilliant Oyster card, it was easy to get from A to B quickly.

I will cherish the language exchange in my memories forever, as well as all the fantastic people I met there and the wonderful memories I made.
