The whole trip started with a delayed bus, but our lovely host-families waited patiently for us.
Some people knew each other and others had never seen one another. But after the first half day of school, we all went together to the Ramsgate Tunnels and got into conversations. The following evening, we learned Irish folk dance which was one of the best activities we did. It also brought the Group together really well and that already on the second day! Attending school together was also very helpful in fostering group cohesion and in addition to improving our English, we learned interesting things about England and the English people themselves.
Pretty much every day we had the possibility to do an activity like canoeing, bowling, golf, karaoke or watching a movie in the cinema. Every day we would go out to drink some coffee or let a seagull steal our sandwich. And of course, some other highlights were the trip to London and our visit at the Harry Potter Museum. All in all, I would say that besides improving our English we all made some really good friends and had an eventful and lovely time in Broadstairs. Furthermore, we all got now a Family that cannot wait until we go visiting again.
